This is a fascinating postcard showing the ruins of the church at Albert, France after it was bombed in 1915.
The Golden Virgin statue stayed leaning but not toppled until 1918 and became a symbol of resilience.
On the back a soldier tells his wife / girlfriend how often they get to have a Bath, something she is concerned about. He says the average is around every 15 to 20 days.
Condition is "Used". Dispatched with Royal Mail 2nd Class Letter.
