A fantastic piece of early Susie Cooper, bearing her trademark signature. Cooper revolutionised tableware in the 1930s by producing elegant, modern, yet functional and cost conscious earthenware. This piece is glazed earthenware in cream and aerographed green, from around 1938.
Diameter of plate approx 9” or 23cm. Height including lid approx 4.5” or 12cm.
Please note there is damage to this, which I have shown in the photos, namely crazing, some scratches to the green, and a hairline crack in the lid.
