This tureen is in the Twin tone design, made in the very popular Streamline design, which was made from around 1940s to the early 80s, with minor tweaks here and there - you can find different shaped knobs on teapots and preserve jars, and a variety of patterns in the china. The overall shape remained the same, with its angular, minimalist lines.
The ice green and seagull colourway was one of the original colour combos. It has a soft glaze that is very tactile, and the mottled grey effect is beautiful.
THIS LISTING IS FOR THE VEGETABLE TUREEN AND LID.
It measures approx 26 x 23 cm, and stands approx 12cm high with the lid on.
The colour is beautiful- A lovely aqua blue/green.
It still looks clean and fresh today.
Please note there are surface scratches and marks, but no chips or cracks. (See photos)
